TONYA THORNTON Personal Trainer
Tonya Thornton has been in the fitness industry for the last eighteen years and has achieved many fitness certifications, including three separate Pilates certifications. Although her fitness career started as a personal trainer, she veered off into the world of Pilates to further her knowledge of the human body, how it works and responds when placed under a different type of resistance. In dealing with clients with various restricting joint issues, along with weight loss plateaus, Tonya persevered in her Pilates education and went on to tackle two more 500 plus hour Pilates certification, as well as sweating through even more hours of self practice. She applies her cognition of muscle function on her clients in their Pilates sessions so that they may achieve deeper core awareness and strength. As a personal trainer, Pilates Instructor and Precision Nutrition counselor, she packs a powerful punch of fitness super powers!
