Spring is here, which also means the heart of wedding season is here! Brides and grooms everywhere are planning for their big day and want to look good for their Instagram (or Facebook, or Pinterest) moment. Which also means that there’s a lot of friends and family that are also furiously counting down the days. Everyone wants to look and feel his or her best. Some will take the marathon long-term approach to weight loss and toning, but others will definitely try to sprint to the finish line to maximize their results. Whatever your approach, here are some common-sense tips that will help you on your way to looking and feeling great

1)   Drink water! The general rule is to drink half your body weight in ounces, each day. By staying hydrated, you can also curb your cravings and avoid overeating. It will also help you support your organs to flush out toxins and get rid of body fat.

2)   Cut those simple sugars! Get rid of the candy, cakes, pastas, breads, and alcohol. Most of us know this rule, but this one can be the most difficult. By cutting those sneaky sugars out of your diet, you usually do not consume as many calories daily. Also, cutting simple sugars will help your insulin stay level, and keep your blood pressure lower, which have a big long-term benefit.

3)   Put strength training into your exercise program! Build muscle to help you burn more calories at rest. In addition to burning more calories after you have finished your workout, having more muscle helps get rid of body fat, even when you’re not working out!

Enjoy these tips to help you on your way to look and feel better for your wedding day!
