On June 12th, Nimble’s own Daniel Lucas took on one of the toughest endurance feats out there: Everesting — climbing 29,029 vertical feet, the equivalent of summiting Mount Everest, in under 36 hours at Snowbasin, Utah.

Daniel and his climbing partner, Mark Haggarty, got it done in 33 hours!

It demanded months of training across strength, nutrition, and breathwork, and a level of mental grit most of us never have to tap into. But Daniel didn’t just climb for himself — he climbed in support of God’s Love We Deliver (GLWD), the New York nonprofit that has spent the last 40 years cooking and delivering free, medically tailored meals to New Yorkers facing serious illness.

God’s Love’s roots run deep in our community. Founded in 1985 at the height of the AIDS crisis, the organization has maintained an enduring partnership with the LGBTQ+ community ever since — collaborating closely with groups like GMHC and SAGE, marching in NYC Pride for nearly three decades, and building client programs that are sensitive to the specific needs of LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers living with illness. It’s a mission built on the same values we try to bring to every Nimble session: dignity, care, and showing up for people when it matters most.

Daniel’s Everesting climb is a reminder that physical challenges can carry meaning far beyond the mountain itself.

THANK YOU to the entire Nimble community for supporting our efforts. With your help we raised over $60,000 for the charity!

And thank you to God’s Love We Deliver for the work they do every single day.

From the mountain top,

Daniel
